24-26th May 2016

Clerkenwell Design Week is the UK’s leading independent design festival and it annually attracts the international design community to this small area of London for three days of exciting events. Did you know that Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet? Now celebrating its 7th year, the event is running from 24th-26th May 2016 and last year over 35,000 members of the design community attended - with over 300 brands taking part.

This year, for the first time, one of our bimstore manufactuters, Flexiform, will open the doors to the Flexiform London Showroom for the entire duration of CDW. As their main manufacturing base is in West Yorkshire, Flexiform will be offering up some of Yorkshire’s finest foods – and of course, as is customary there will be a good old #BIMbeer to wash it down. But you know, that’s not all they have in store – they’ve also got a special guest talk from none other than US!

Yes, Gillian Smith, our Partnership Manager, will be joining Flexiform to talk about the benefits of BIM from the perspective of a manufacturer. Having consulted and represented oodles of manufacturers entering the world of BIM since 2011, Gillian is able to offer a real insight into the benefits that BIM has brought to the supply chain process. Come along to see Gillian and find out more about BIM and what makes bimstore so unique (it’s not purely the fact we have a yellow cow called Ermintrude…) as well as the wider benefits of BIM adoption.

Obviously with tasty pies on offer (Did we mention there would be PIES? Who can resist a pie?) coupled with an exciting presentation from Gillian, you may want to reserve your pie and seat now. You can do this by heading over to the Flexiform website where they’ve cunningly left a nifty form for you to complete - simply ciick here.

We’ll hopefully see you at the Flexiform London Showroom in May, but in the meantime, if there’s anything bimstore help you with, just drop us an email or a tweet - we love to talk BIM, or anything else for that matter, but BIM is what we know best!

Changing Radiators? Why would you do that?

Posted 02.05.2024

Whilst radiators are being installed on a daily basis in new build homes up and down the country, the majority of radiators purchased are installed in existing homes because their owners have decided to upgrade their homes and their heating systems. And there are a host of reasons why they might do that – from needing to, to doing so because they can!
