Are you ready to submit your ideas to the BIM Show Live team?

Last night bimstore toddled off to London to attended the fantastic launch event for BIM Show Live 2017. If you’ve missed the news up until now, then let us tell you that BIM Show Live will be returning on 1st and 2nd February 2017 – this time in Newcastle upon Tyne. There was a lot of buzz around the event and it was great to see both familiar and new faces in attendance. We can’t wait for the event itself where bimstore be exhibiting, no doubt with Ermintrude in tow! You'll be able to come and speak to the bimstore team who will be able to guide manufacturers through the BIM process and we’ll be on hand to talk to specifiers who want to know more about the manufacturer-specific content we produce and host.

Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group officially announced the call for papers last night and we’re here today to tell you a little bit more about this.

In 2017 BIM Show Live is going back to its roots and while this means recapturing the spirit of those early events, things are going to be a little different. If you’ve been to BIM Show Live in the past, you’ll be familiar with the four streams format. Well, this is back for 2017, however, it has been switched up a bit and will now be Strategy, Next Generation, Data and Stories. If you’ve got a great idea and you don’t think it particularly fits into those categories? It doesn’t matter, get in submitted anyhow – everything will be considered.

What are they looking for?• The sessions will be 60 minutes’ long• Proposals need to be written in English • An awesome kick-ass title• Pitch your idea – short paragraph, video – whatever you think works to get your message across!• Give them the facts – who you are, what you do, where you do it and why you are the best person to speak about your chosen topic.

James Austin has made a handy video containing all this info, including some background on the event which you can watch here https://youtu.be/R13A_ctdxxo

You can also find out more about the event, and submit your paper by heading over to www.bimshowlive.co.uk. You’ve got until November 30th to get your ideas in, so get thinking!
