Have you tried out one of the latest features to hit bimstore?

Have you created a bimbox yet? This was one of the great new features that we introduced to bimstore during 2014 and in our very own humblest of opinions, we think it has been one of the most user-friendly additions to the site.

If you don’t know what a bimbox is let us tell you a little bit more about it.

A bimbox is very much like a little digital personalised library. Creating a bimbox enables you, the specifier, to compile any combination of objects into one handy repository. There’s absolutely no limit to the number of bimboxes that you can have which means you could make a whole load of project-specific libraries. Why not try it out for yourself and make separate bimboxes for everything you are working on?

You can create a bimbox from anywhere, desktop or mobile, enabling you to browse and bookmark items you intend to use and download them later. One of the top advantages of using bimboxes for your projects is that you’ll be automatically notified whenever items in your collection are modified or updated. Creating a bimbox is as simple as finding a BIM object that meets all your requirements and hitting the “Add to bimbox” button. All your bimboxes can be viewed directly from your profile page.

We’re confident that this feature will quickly become indispensable to the organisation and management of your projects. If you’ve not tried our this feature yet, why not give it ago?

As always we’re happy to receive your feedback on this and in fact, any of our bimstore features. Just drop us a line or a Tweet!
