Another new manufacturer has joined the bimstore family this week

We thought we’d end the week with another manufacturer announcement. This time it’s the turn of Russell Roof Tiles who have just gone live with their range of high-quality BIM objects for their roofing solutions.

Russell Roof Tiles was formed in 1986 to manufacture a range of concrete roof tiles and fittings. Since then they have developed an extensive range of ventilation and dry fix systems suitable for both new and refurbishment projects that are designed to meet current building regulation requirements. Russell Roof Tiles offer a growing range of roofing solutions for both commercial and housing projects. Their clients include all of the major national house builders, numerous local authorities, Primary Care Trusts and care home providers as well as numerous commercial projects.

This week Russell Roof Tiles have gone live on bimstore for the first with 14 new listings for their Revit BIM components. Here’s a little bit more about what you can find available to download now;

Bute 145 - The Bute is a thin leading edge flat interlocking tile which when laid at a headlap of 145mm or 165mm gives the appearance of a small format tile or traditional plain tile with the commercial benefit of a larger format tile.

Double Roman - The Double Roman is a standard profiled roof tile with a small round roll. This classic design lends itself to both traditional and contemporary architectural styles.

Galloway – Galloway is a thin leading edge flat interlocking roof tile which has the appearance of a slate when laid broken bonded.

Grampian – The Grampian is a standard flat interlocking roof tile. It combines the traditional appearance of clay tiles with the security of an interlocking design and the economy.

Lothian – Lothian is a thin leading edge interlocking roof tile with a mock joint which when laid gives the appearance of European plain tiles.

Moray – Moray is a thin leading edge riven finish flat interlocking roof tile which has the appearance of a slate when laid broken bonded.

Pennine – The Pennine is a standard profile roof tile with a subtle ‘soft' roll design. It creates a gently undulating roof with the security provided by its interlocking design.

Plain – The Russell Plain Tile has the appearance of a traditional clay tile but the strength and economy of a concrete tile. It is available in ten smooth finish colours and four Heritage Range colours. A two tone granular option is also available.

Polden – Polden is a thin leading edge riven finish flat interlocking roof tile which has the appearance of a slate when laid broken bonded.

Ridge Half Round - The Half Round Ridge tile is suitable for use on both the ridge and hip of the roof. It is primarily used on Profiled interlocking tile roofs or Traditional Plain tile roofs on the ridge line in conjunction with a Third Round Ridge on the hips. It can be fixed with Russell Dry ridge systems or mechanically fixed and bedded in mortar in accordance with BS5534.

Ridge Multi Angle – The Multi Ridge tile is suitable for use on both the ridge and hip of the roof. It is primarily used on flat tiles or slates and can be fixed using Russell dry fix systems or mechanically fixed and bedded with mortar in accordance with BS5534.
