Time to do one of our favourite things – announce the arrival of another new manufacturer here on bimstore, the UK’s original BIM library! Today we’d like to introduce you to Stora Enso.

Stora Enso is a leading provider of renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wooden constructions and paper on global markets. Their customers include publishers, retailers, brand owners, print and board producers, printing houses, merchants, converters and joineries and construction companies. Stora Enso aim is to replace fossil-based materials by innovating and developing new products and services based on wood and other renewable materials. They believe that everything that's made with fossil fuels today can be made from a tree tomorrow. Their focus is on fibre-based packaging, plantation-based pulp, innovation in biomaterials, and sustainable building solutions.

Cross Laminated Timber CLT-C Panels

Stora Enso´s cross laminated timber, CLT, is a massive wood construction product consisting of bonded single-layer panels arranged at right angles to one another. Cross laminated timber, CLT, can measure up to 2.95m in width and 16.00m in length. CLT solid wood panels are made up of several layers and are available in different panel thicknesses depending on structural requirements. The layers are bonded together using a formaldehyde-free and environmentally-friendly adhesive which makes up less than 1% of the entire product.
