Phil Marris talks about BIM, and its importance, in a new video on Jaga's official blog. Watch it here. We get a namedrop!

Our friends at Jaga Heating Products have been busy of late. Fresh from launching seven new products on bimstore, the managing director of their UK operation, Phil Marris, has popped up in a video blog on the company's official site.

"The [manufacturing] industry now recognises that BIM can help to deliver significant improvement in cost, value, and carbon perfomance, through the use of open, shareable information about the design and operation of a building," he says.

Marris adds that BIM assists him with his goal of ensuring that architects, engineers and construction engineers can "deliver sustainable, successful projects".

That's where we enter the picture. Jaga chose us as its partner in creating BIM content of its existing products. To date, we've sculpted 12 Jaga objects, nine of which are radiators.

"We worked with bimstore to incorporate some really useful features into our files - such as the automatic calculation of flow rates and pressure drops for engineers, as well as some great 3D renderings for architects."

He continues: "[bimstore] also told us that it's important to provide facilities managers, and building operators, with good quality O&M (operations and maintenence) information, so we made sure that that's all included, too."

It makes us proud to factor so heavily in Jaga's transition into BIM, and we look forward to strenghtening our relationship further.
