Florence to see out summer in style

Newcastle! Land's End! John O'Groats! Florence will be stopping off at all these places - and more - as she enjoys her very own Tour de Britain. Click through for the details.

You could never accuse the bimstore team of being anoraks (we’re hell-raisers, I assure you), but we do feel a little self-conscious now we’ve finalised Florence’s itinerary for the rest of the summer. She’s going to yo-yo up and down the UK, having the time of her life, less a caravan than an embodiment of Bryan Adams’ “Summer of 69”.

Inside that bimstore-branded metal shell, we wager she’s going to enjoy herself. Surely she already has. In June, she went to the musical Mecca that is Glastonbury, and now she’s following that up by rumbling back to Newcastle to host her own social outings on the quayside. We’ve hired out the Waterline Bar for a series of “Drinks With Florence” events starting from the 1st of August. If immersing yourself in her decor wasn’t enough reason to go, Florence will also be bringing along a veritable goody bag of cutting-edge hardware. The Oculus Rift and Google Glass will be on hand for specifiers to test out, showcasing the latest in augmented and virtual reality.

Then, to round off summer, Florence will be on cheerleading duties as she supports two of Space Group’s most prolific cyclists on a monumental quest – Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Darren Purvis and Luke Westoe are riding in support of Children with Cancer, so please give generously to their Givey page.

How does Newcastle-Lands’ End-John O’Groats sound? Can Florence manage all that while retaining her classy sheen? Never doubt a dame.
