Third update to the Forbo BIM offering in 2017

It was only a month ago that we let you know that one of the leading manufacturers we host here on bimstore, Forbo Flooring Systems, had extended their range of Revit BIM components for the second time in 2017. Well, we’re here to tell you today that they’ve only gone and made it a hat-trick with even more content live this month for this leading global provider of premium commercial and residential floor coverings.

With an extensive and attractive range of environmentally friendly linoleum, high-quality vinyl flooring, entrance flooring systems for cleaning and drying shoes, carpet tiles, needlefelt floor coverings and Flotex – the washable textile flooring – as well as building and construction adhesives, Forbo play a key role in shaping how people experience an environment. With a market share of over 65%, they are a world leader in linoleum which is sold in rolls as well as modular tile formats.This month new BIM content has gone live for two keys ranges – Marmoleum and Tessera. Marmoleum is Forbo’s main linoleum brand and is a natural floor associated with sustainability, durability, high quality and innovative design while Tessera offers attractive and hardwearing tufted carpet tiles in various pile constructions and textures, designed to deliver specific aesthetic and performance benefits. Now available on bimstore as Revit BIM components are the following products;

Marmoleum Cocoa - An innovation in linoleum design, the Marmoleum Cocoa range features recycled cocoa shells from a local Dutch chocolate producer in the surface, helping to improve recycling and contributing to a better environment. The result is a new and exciting surface texture that is both natural looking and contemporary in feel.

Marmoleum Concrete - With a solid, stone-like structure that differentiates Marmoleum Concrete from more traditional marbled design, the collection offers a neutral colour palette with both warm and cool tones. The new “glow” accent colours work in combination with their “shimmer” counterparts to create a flash of colour within any design.

Marmoleum Decibel – Marmoleum Decibel provides the highest reduction of impact sound by 17 dB. Marmoleum Decibel is 3.5 mm thick: 2.5 mm Marmoleum Real laminated onto a 1 mm thick layer of polyolefin foam. Marmoleum Decibel is available in 25 selected colours from the Marmoleum Real and Marmoleum Concrete collections.

Marmoleum Piano - Reflecting a soft and subtle fibre feel with a plain background, the Piano collection offers a semi-plain design which still delivers dirt hiding properties. Ideal for those who love the minimal and plain aesthetics of the Walton range but where soil hiding properties are required.

Marmoleum Slate - Featuring a unique embossed structure, Marmoleum Slate delivers the timeless aesthetic of stone with the warmth and purity of linoleum. The sophisticated natural texture plays with light and shade, bringing the floor to life.

Marmoleum Walton – Reflecting the epitome of style and the pure character of linoleum, Marmoleum Walton’s smooth surface and minimal expression makes it the ultimate and pure representative of our linoleum flooring. The solid visual can be easily adapted to any interior, delivering the trend for raw and tactile interiors when used alongside other building materials such as glass, wood, metal and stone.

Tessera Seagrass - With a soft, striated look and a palette of 12 naturally inspired colourways offering high LRVs, Tessera Seagrass delivers a feeling of comfort and tranquillity to any space. The plank format allows for a variety of creative floor designs, and can be easily combined with Forbo’s Allura Flex vinyl tiles using the same adhesive, and without the need for transition strips, creating fully integrated flooring solutions.

Tessera Diffusion – Tessera Diffusion reflects an evolution towards softer more organic geometry observed in nature. Inspired by crystalline structures, the fractal shapes fade in and out creating appealing contemporary floor spaces. Tessera Diffusion offers a broad spectrum of 16 fresh commercial colourways, ranging from very dark to very pale.
