Introducing the two newest members of our team

Last week we had two new arrivals at bimstore – no, not more manufacturers – two new additions to our team who happen to be recent graduates from Campus.

Campus comprises of purpose-made BIM training pop-up suites across the UK – with the aim of teaching and building usable and relevant BIM skills, that are instantly transferable into the workplace enabling young people within the construction industry to make a valued contribution to their employer at a very early stage. Campus currently offers “not in education, employment or training (NEET) 19-24 year olds a FREE 6 week intensive introduction to BIM training course covering all essential aspects of BIM.

Joining us from Campus are Peter Winterburn and Elisabeth Matuki.

Peter is an extremely motivated and driven Interior Architecture graduate with a highly conceptual and detailed approach to design. With a strong understanding of structural and building technologies, he has produced design work across a wide variety of typologies and scales, from interior schemes for retail and cultural clients to master planning for the National Trust, during both his degree studies and his time at BIM Campus. He also took part in Interior Educators' Exhibition 'Re-Work' as part of the FreeRange shows in London, 2015.

Elisabeth is an Architectural Technologist, excited and enthusiastic about working within the construction industry and also, what the development of BIM technologies will mean for the future of construction. Before coming to Campus, Elisabeth spent a year on placement at the NBS where she gained experience with British standards, contracts, specifications and NBS software – offering a great insight into the workings of an interdisciplinary organisation.

“I am delighted that we have taken on graduates who have come through Campus” says Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group “It’s exciting to see them start their careers and we look forward to helping them to develop in the years ahead”.

Welcome to the team Peter and Elisabeth!
