Altecnic, the UK’s largest plumbing products supplier, has just added two new product lines to their BIM offering here on bimstore and today we’d like to tell you a little a bit more about what is new.

Established near Stafford in 1987, Altecnic has built their reputation on supplying what their customers need now, while their dedicated technical team work on what will be needed in the future. Altecnic’s high-quality products and services are chosen by trade merchants, original equipment manufacturers, plumbing and heating engineers and specifiers. With the product ranges covering commonly used components, along with specialist and rarely used parts and backed by relevant certifications and approvals, you can be confident in your choice.

You can now find the following products available to download as Revit BIM components, right here on bimstore.

The first is the Potable Vessel (Reflex).

Potable Vessels are commonly used in systems with an Unvented Water Heater or a Pumped System. These units are a low-cost solution for potable water, water heating & hydro-pneumatic well applications. Water does not flow through this vessel. The DE range is fitted with a bladder, which can be replaced from 50 litres on, and is ideal for use in water systems with higher corrosion resistance requirements, as suitable for brine circuits in heat pump systems.Manufactured in carbon steel with a two or three part weld construction. Pre-pressurised air chamber with synthetic rubber compound bladder. Sizes 60 to 1000 litres (except 140 litres) have a replaceable bladder. The internal surfaces of the vessel in contact with the water are coated against corrosion. External surfaces have a blue durable powder coated finish. Suitable for temperatures up to 70°C, resistant to ethylene or propylene glycol mixtures and has low gas permeability. Altecnic expansion vessels are all tested according to the Pressure Systems Directive.

The second new product is the Heating and Chilled Water Vessel (Reflex).

Heating and chilled water Vessels are commonly used in closed loop systems with an Unvented Water Heater or a Pumped System. The N & NG range is fitted with a diaphragm, which cannot be replaced. These vessels are ideal for use in water systems with low-pressure circuits, as suitable for brine circuits in heat pump systems.Manufactured in carbon steel with a two or three-part weld construction. Pre-pressurised air chamber with synthetic rubber compound diaphragm. The internal surfaces of the vessel in contact with the water are coated against corrosion. External surfaces have a grey durable powder coated finish. Suitable for vessel temperatures up to 70°C and flowing temperatures up to 120°C, resistant to ethylene or propylene glycol mixtures and has low gas permeability. Altecnic expansion vessels are all tested according to the Pressure Systems Directive.
