Read the latest from our team of developers and geeks about what's going on behind the scenes at bimstore.

We are pleased to welcome Zehnder to bimstore.co.uk!  Zehnder make some of the most desirable designer radiators in the world, as well as a range of traditional radiators and radiant panels.

We have been speaking with Zehnder for a while, and we are pleased to welcome them to bimstore.co.uk.  Zehnder is one of the manufacturers that understands BIM and recognizes that it it's changing the way in which designers, design and specify new building projects. By being on bimstore.co.uk Zehnder is placing their products in a shop window for these designers to easily find and specify.

Our geeks are currently modelling up some rather cool BIM objects (fully MEP spec) and they should be available for download in a few weeks time.

If you are a manufacturer or know a manufacturer you would like to see on bimstore, then let us know!

The Geek - Showing us his superb balancing skills

A few weeks ago we opened up bimstore to give the architectural community a sneak peak at what we are up to and what bimstore.co.uk is all about.  It is now time we move into phase 2 - Getting manufacturers to understand the true benefit of BIM and get their products on bimstore.  This is quite a big task but we are already in talks with some big names. Luckily we have a secret weapon to help us on our journey...

Some say he was raised as a ninja and was breast fed as a child by @virtuarch. Some say he is a messiah sent to spread BIM to the manufacturing community. Some even say he's a blatant copy of The Stig from Top Gear. All we know he is called "TheBIMGeek".

Keep an eye out for TheBIMGeek and his bright yellow bimscooter zooming around the UK and follow his adventures on Twitter (@thebimgeek).  If you know of any manufacturers who could do with a visit from TheBIMGeek, let us know!

Whoop! Whoop! This is the first post in the bimstore blog. Keep checking back to keep up to date what the bimstore team are up to.
